Eye On The Goldmine -2014 Sorrel Mare, APHA # 5604950
This pretty mare is out of MY FIRST EYE (Eye Take Time) and sired by NINETY NINE GOLDMINE
My First Eye, the dam to this filly is a race winner with a proven pedigree - Eye Take Time is one of Canada’s leading running horse sires. He sired the likes of: Eye An The Breeze SI 101, St Paddys Eyes SI 102, Fire Inside SI 104 etc. The 2nd Dam; My First Gold Card, had 47 starts 19-12-9 ran at 2,3,4,5,6,7 yr old...longevity that we just don’t see in today’s race horses.
Ninety Nine Goldmine, the Sire, is an own son of Strawfly Special ~ sire of earners of over $22 million at the track. His dam, Birds Merry is a direct daughter of Merridoc – another outstanding racehorse sire with 808 of his foals earning their racing ROM’s. Ninety Nine Goldmine has an incredible disposition, carries lots of bone and has good feet. An added bonus, he carries the unique rabicano color gene (coon tail, roan flank). Siring quality foals which are extremely willing, smart and athletic. Real "people" horses that hunt a barrel, float across the ground and look good doing it.
99, as we call her, was started under saddle at two - she was smart, willing and kind but a hock injury ended her career under saddle. She has rabicano accents and great conformation. We purchased her from her Sire's owners; Donna and William Beierbach and thank them for the opportunity to add her to our broodmare band.
