From Irene, July 2013: Every day when I go to the barn I think how lucky I am to have such a nice horse. I can only repeat what a nice horse Chip is. I do not know if it's the training Chip had with Stacy or if it is Chip's personality. Chip is so easy going, quiet, patient and relaxed. He just does whatever I ask of him and he never argues or fights. I am not used to having such a cooperative horse and I appreciate his willing attitude every day again :-)
It is also interesting that he does not get very upset when biting insects are around. All other horses prance around, throw their head and swish the tail if there are horse flies. But Chip does not react much. He has found out that I will kill the nasty beasts if he shows me where they are on his body :-)
Today, I went jogging with Chip. We run side by side and he watches me very closely. When I start running, he starts as well and if I walk, he walks also and when I stand, he stands. I almost think he tries to synchronize with me :-) This way we both get our exercise :-)
